Lima City Tour

Participants can choose their favorite travel agency or go independently to Lima, we will be at your disposal to provide you with the information you require.

We have also coordinated with the agencies of the environment and we suggest the following agency “Lima Tours” that has experience in Tours services in Peru, all management would be directly between the participant and the agency.

About the dates that are indicated, it is a suggestion that we propose to coincide in the tours with a majority group of participants. Each participant in coordination with the agency can adapt their schedules and days that suit them best, there is a wide variety of tours in Peru.

It is important to hire the tours well in advance.

OPTION # 1

Day: Thursday, August 11, 2022

Included: Transportation, guided tour, Entrance to the Anthropology and Archeology Museum, Entrance to the Larco Museum.

Not included: Lunch.

Your tour will begin at the National Museum of Anthropology and Archeology and History of Peru, in the Pueblo Libre district. It is the oldest state museum, founded in 1826, and covers the history of Peru from the beginnings of local civilization to the Republican era. It houses an immense collection of ceramics, textiles and goldsmiths from various Peruvian cultures. Then you will tour the rooms of the Larco Museum. It was founded by Rafael Larco Hoyle in 1926 and is located inside a colonial mansion built on a pre-Columbian pyramid from the 7th century. In it you can find the most complete pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver pieces as well as erotic art. There are more than 45 thousand archaeological objects that are silent witnesses of three thousand years of Peruvian history. At the end of the journey you will return to your hotel.

Day: Friday, August 12, 2022

Included: Transportation, guided tour, Entrance to the Cathedral, Entrance to the Larco Museum, Entrance to Casa Aliaga.

Get ready to explore the old town of Lima, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, which is full of fascinating historical buildings. The route begins with the Larco Museum, located in the traditional district of Pueblo Libre and housed in a beautifully restored colonial mansion, which in turn is built on a pre-Columbian pyramid from the 7th century. The museum has a very complete pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver objects, as well as pieces of erotic art. Next, head to Casa Aliaga, a colonial mansion granted in 1535 by the conquistador Francisco Pizarro to one of his captains, Jerónimo de Aliaga. This is the only house from that time that still belongs to the same family. Continue with a scenic drive through the colonial center. Visit the Plaza de Armas, where you can appreciate the grandiose architecture of the Spanish Empire. There is its magnificent Cathedral, built in the 16th century.
